DANGEROUS driver Peter Hemmings took police on a six-mile chase through the city – because his car was not insured.
The 23-year-old 'panicked' when he saw the officers and took off at speeds of up to 75mph in built-up areas including Hanley, Shelton and Fenton.
Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court heard he went through a red light, drove on the wrong side of the road and went the wrong way round a roundabout during the nine-minute chase on July 4.
